We have got some proper experience at Starsprings, no doubt about that. But what makes you stay? Please meet Marko Renko, one of our pillars in the swedish plant in Herrljunga. Marko Renko, How long have you been at Starsprings?-For many years now... as a matter of fact, i started almost exactly 33 years ago, inAugust 20, 1990, as a high school dropout aged 17.What did you start with, and what have you done over the years?- I Started with cutting and shaping bonnel spring units, but soon i switched to mount the frames instead at pice-work wage.After military service, he came back to the factory floor instead of studying further. From 1997 situated in the Vreta factory, working in the automotive department. From there moving on to be a repairman at LFK until 2014. Since then, the pocket spring department has been home for Marko, with responsibility over various machines. The last couple of years working as an expert operator on the S-touch-line. Which he has been a great source of knowledge to get up and running together with the R&D-department.What is your favorite pocket?-That’s easy to answer, it’s definitely a S-touch in 1.8 wire guage. Both to manufacture and to sleep on.What do you like and what has kept you going over the years?-The community, I would say. The second family, that exists on the factory floor is a big reason why you stay. The freedom to take responsibility for one's tasks also contributes strongly. You're in control of your job, and simply have fun at work. Speaking of family, both Marko’s brother and his wife are also long time employees of Starsprings, so there is literally years and years of knowledge around the Renkos family.Outside work, what do you do in your spare time?-I love to do some blacksmithing, walk the dogs and taking care of house and family in general.We say thank's to Marko who goes back to take care of the S-touch production, please give Marko a like and a comment below, 33 years and still curious about comfort!#teamstarsprings #curiousity #comfort #experience #loyalty #longtimer

Great coworkers to work with. Always learning something new.Most interesting project: Taking a totaled-out truck and rebuilding it back to new and watching it going down the road looking like we just bought it.What advice would you give to someone who might want to join Croell: It’s a great career. Company support is 100%. Give it your all and you will succeed in your job.Hobbies include: Building hot rods, going to car shows, taking the Harley out on a sunny day. Hunting, fishing and just enjoying the outdoors.One thing people probably don’t know about me: I’m a military veteran and have a service dog named Couper. I also teach handgun safety. (sportsmans.com)Same store sales decreased 16.1% during the second quarter of fiscal year 2023, compared to the second quarter of fiscal year 2022, primarily as a result of the same factors noted above that impacted net sales.Gross profit was$100.8 million, or 32.6% of net sales, compared to$117.5 million, or 33.5% of net sales, in the corresponding period of fiscal year 2022. This decrease as a percentage of net sales was primarily driven by a greater portion of our sales from promotional activities and reduced product margins in our ammunition category.
