    Good morning!

    • Good morning!

Happy anniversary to David and Rita & to Bill and Heather. I hope that couples are having awesome anniversary trips.

Today is supposed to be our first day well into the 90s with 100+ heat index. It promises to be humid and nasty outside with possibility of storms tonight. It sounds like a day to just enjoy being inside. We have Spectrum cable TV. Today, we are going to experiment with a free trial of YouTube TV. If we decide to keep it, it would be cheaper than Spectrum.

Connie bought a couple of bushes yesterday for me to plant. I have been doing a little work outside every day since I retired. I enjoy it. Retirement still feels like a vacation and that I'll need to go back to work. I don't know when that will change, but I am having a great time, and I'm starting to feel more relaxed and rested. Frankie is still waking me early, but not as early as she had been. Life is good and I am very grateful and thankful. I am enjoying spending more time with Connie.

      Have a great day!

Cool sunny morning here again, but will get up to 80º this afternoon. Warm, but not 100º, thankyou.

I like doing yardwork, too, used to have a veggie garden. Nice hobby, but at one time I worked in landscaping when I was between jobs; it gets rough when it's every day, 8-10 hours straight.

Piano class this morning. The Wednesday chords class dissolved, after one woman fell at home and broke her hip, another found a boyfriend in Florida and is not around much, a third broke her ankle. With only two students and sometimes just one, the teacher finally decided to regroup. I found it too much have two piano classes a week, so I'm glad it's over.

Got new eyeglass prescription yesterday. Will order online from Zenni.com. Afterward went to EX's house while she was at DD's babysitting, and worked on piano for 6 hours, levelling keys and assorted other things. Brought the innards home to make further adjustments to the mechanism. Will replace all the hammer springs and jack springs while it's out of the piano. Ordered some new white keytops to replaced the old, yellowed, cracked and chipped keys. Looks like somebody took a hammer to them. Learning by trial and error, so when I do someone else's piano there aren't too many errors. EX doesn't even play the piano and doesn't care if it's ruined.

Working on getting daily exercise--a walk and hand weights. Have found that turmeric is helping my joint soreness, which had been a hindrance sometimes.

      Keep moving, onward and downward.

      Good Morning

Yesterday was a wonderful day. An early morning walk along the beach before breakfast and an afternoon walk on the Bluff trail which has lots of driftwood formed benches for me to stop and rest by back when it tightens. With those walks and wandering around town, we ended up with 12,000 steps which is a lot for me but hopefully won’t be as I get stronger and looser. The promised cloud cover rolled in mid morning and rolled out by lunch leaving a glorious day. Dinner was amazing at our favorite dinner spot here. With the clearer skies we were able to enjoy the sunset unhindered. My new Gastro Doc called me yesterday to discuss the initial lab results. He confirmed a suspected bacterial infection would explain my gut issues. I will start 2 weeks of antibiotics 3x/day tomorrow. Then in 2 months he will do a colonoscopy to make sure there is no damage from the infection. Great news. We head home today after spending a couple hours this morning touring the old lighthouse by Hearst Castle. We will hang around for a while to avoid evening rush hour traffic coming through Silicon Valley. We might need one more walk on the beach to sustain us. I hope Dave and Rita had an equally wonderful Anniversary celebration and take home enough to cover the cost of the truck.

      Good morning gentlemen.

Glad you had a good day, yesterday, Bill, and that you have a handle on what's happening in your gut.

Our day yesterday was less than stellar. There were no shows we wanted to see; the housekeeper somehow got the security bar to flip out, blocking us from getting back into our room which took far too long to resolve; and we were losers all day in our gambling efforts. Finally, I scratched at a little skin tag on my elbow while we ate supper (a very forgettable Mexican repast) and it started bleeding and wouldn't stop for a half hour. You get some funny looks when you walk through a crowd with a trickle of blood running down your forearm. On the other hand, we had lots of laughs, Rita did her thing and made bosom buddies everywhere she went (her superpower), and we got in 23,000 steps, according to my phone. Better times today.

Cooling off, today. The high should only be 105.

OK folks love yawl but DO NOT SEND THAT HEAT THIS WAY, we are fine with 80's and 90's.
Glad they found issue Bill and pray it is cleared up soon, though large amounts of antibiotics can make one feel like crap.
The problem I would have planting plants now is they would have to be watered balance of summer
